Parsa Corporate Advisory Limited (Parsa) is a UK based consultancy and corporate advisory firm that utilises it’s network of international contacts in introducing Iranian companies to offshore strategic and portfolio investors and its network of contacts in Iran in introducing offshore companies to business opportunities there. The Parsa team is lead by Chairman, Nicholas Banszky, who has over 40 years experience at leading global investment banks, half of which was spent working for the Rothschild Group.

Our Name
Parsa was the ceremonial capital of the First Persian Empire (550BC-330BC). The empire spanned an area of 8 million sq. km., part of some 40 independent countries of today, accounting at its height for 20 per cent of the World’s population. It stretched from the Balkans in the West to the Indus Valley in the East and was one of the greatest empires in ancient history. It was run on a semi-federal basis , with a sophisticated centralised bureaucracy and an advanced economic infrastructure and had an influence that went far beyond its borders. We have named our company out of admiration for one the great cities of this great civilisation.

Nicholas Banszky has worked in most of the emerging markets across the globe over the last 25 years . All of them share one common element when it comes to doing business, the importance of personal relationships. In Iran this is even more the case than elsewhere. “The strength of relationship” in other words who you know, how well and for how long you have known them is what decides whether and who gets the deal done. The inner circle of decision makers in Iran is not a domain that foreign bankers can easily penetrate. That is why at Parsa we always work alongside local partners who we have got to know well and who are well known and trusted by the local business community and the important decision makers. That is the Iranian way and the way we believe in.
Our Logo
The Simurgh (above, a Sassanid silver plate depicting a Simurgh, 7th or 8th century) is an Iranian, inherently benevolent, flying creature found in all periods of Greater Iranian art and literature. It is gigantic enough to carry off an elephant or whale and legends consider the creature so old that it has seen the destruction of the world three times over. Having learned so much by living so long it is thought to possess the knowledge of all the ages. It is benevolent, strong and very wise. That is the reason we have chosen it for our logo.
